Determining When To Keep Your Child Home From School:
**To return to school after a fever, the student MUST be fever-free for 24 hours, WITHOUT taking fever reducing medications.
Keep your child home if they have been vomiting and/or had diarrhea within 24 hours.
Keep your child home if they are too sick to eat breakfast.
Keep your child home if they have a bad cough or cold, especially if it has kept them up during the night.
*Any condition that you think may be serious or contagious to others.
If your child is absent from school, please call the school at 607-397-8785. A written excuse indicating the reason for the absence is required upon your child’s return to school.
If your child is absent due to a healthcare provider visit please bring documentation from the provider.
Make school a priority and be sure your child is not absent more than necessary.
**It is very important to notify the school when parent/guardian contact information such as phone numbers and/or address change.
