New York State Scholarships for Academic Excellence
The New York State Scholarships for Academic Excellence is being offered for the 2025-26 academic year. Each year the New York State Legislature offers 8000 scholarships to graduating seniors. Worcester Central School participates in this scholarship program and uses the following criteria for the selection of nominees.
Worcester Central School shall select their nominees by computing a weighted average of the scores on the Regents examinations taken by its students prior to their senior year, in all of the following subjects:
The weighing of the scores shall be:
Comprehensive English - weight of three
Algebra 2 & Trigonometry - weight of three
Global studies - weight of one
U.S. history/government - weight of one
Any two different Science Regents scores
