COVID-19 Update
October 8, 2021

Dear Worcester Families,

This message is to inform you that today, October 8, 2021, WCS learned that a student has tested positive for COVID-19. Having worked with the New York State Department of Health and their established guidelines, we determined a list of people who had close contact and are required to quarantine. Any person who is required to quarantine has already been contacted by one of our administrators or school nurse and the department of health should be following up with them as well.

Our most important goal while educating your child is maintaining our school community’s health and safety. We continue to follow our safety protocols and procedures by cleaning and disinfecting our building and buses daily, and closely monitor our capacity to provide in-person instruction safely.

As a general reminder, please remember to screen your child for COVID-19 before sending them to school. If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not send your child to school, contact your health care provider, and notify the school nurse at 607-397-8785 as soon as possible. Thank you again for your continued support, flexibility, and willingness to do your part to keep our school community safe.

Respectfully,

Tim Gonzales
Superintendent
