COVID-19 Update

November 22, 2021

Dear Worcester Families,

This message is to share with you that today WCS was informed of four students who tested positive for COVID-19. After working with the New York State Department of Health and their established guidelines, we determined a list of people considered close contacts and are required to quarantine. Any person who is required to quarantine has already been contacted and the department of health will be following up with them as well.

Our most important goal while educating your child is maintaining our school community’s health and safety. We continue to follow our safety protocols and procedures by cleaning and disinfecting our building and buses daily, and closely monitor our capacity to provide in-person instruction safely.

As a general reminder, please remember to screen your child for COVID-19 symptoms before sending them to school. If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not send your child to school, contact your health care provider, and notify the school nurse at 607-397-8785 as soon as possible. Thank you again for your continued support, flexibility, and willingness to do your part to keep our school community safe.

Respectfully,

Tim Gonzales
Superintendent
