The Worcester Central School District has applied to the New York State Department of Education for grant funding to support our Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Classes.
NYS requires that school districts set aside a minimum of 10% of Universal Pre-Kindergarten funds we receive to be used for potential collaboration with eligible agencies, such as day care providers, to provide instruction in UPK classrooms.
Should you have an interest in being a collaborating agenc click on the Request for Proposals link below. The proposals and collaborating agencies must be selected through a competitive process as outlined in Section 151-1.6 of the Regulations of the Commissioner. You are not required to be a collaborating agency but to be considered you must complete the request for proposals in its entirety and return it to WCS by the deadline listed.
In the event no collaborating agencies choose to apply for the set aside funds or they do not meet the requirements, the funds are then given back to the district to be used to support our UPK program.
