Schenevus and Worcester school district residents are invited to participate in a public forum on Jan. 19 to discuss the findings of the annexation merger study report prepared by consultants Castallo & Silky LLC. While it was hoped to have this forum in person, it will be conducted virtually via Zoom, given the current COVID-19 restrictions. More details about the Jan. 19 forum will be available next week.
The report can be read online at http://www.mscsw.org. Printed copies will also be available at the district offices of both school buildings by Monday, Jan. 11. Please call the district office at either school to request a copy.
The 133-page report reviews the two districts’ enrollment, educational programs, facilities, transportation, staffing and finances. While the report does not argue for or against a merger, it does include recommendations for a merged district, if an annexation merger were to occur. The report also details the merger incentive aid that would be available to a merged district.
