We recently had three officers attend the New York State PTA convention.  While there, they were able to attend workshops on new initiatives in New York State and on a National level related to Family School Partnerships and P-16 education.

Our first submission to Box Tops netted us $436.  Thank you to all for making our first submission a great success!

What does the Worcester Parent Teacher Association do?

We support school and community events.

We raise money through bake sales held during the year.

We hold a cookie sale during the Jr/Sr High School Holiday Concert, a dessert hour on the two nights of the play, a bake sale during the “What A Character” presentation and a bake sale on Worcester Days.

Here is a list of the School/Community events supported this year:

-We are currently running the Varsity Soccer Concession Stand and are involved in collecting box tops.  Our meeting will be every other month starting October 11th in the WCS Library at 6:30pm.

-300.00 given to the school nurse to purchase school supplies for students.

-Purchase of a TV,DVD,VCR for the school (we has purchased others throughout the years).

-Purchased a picnic table for the CROP program

-Donated money for the Fire House Halloween party

-Sponsored a movie at the Weiting while collecting donations for the community food bank (this has been done for the last few years)

- Donated money for the Holiday boxes Mrs.Evans makes

-Purchased items for the the WCS Marching Band

-Donatated money for the Eckerd Drug Quiz

-Donated money for the “What A Character Play”

If you want to learn how to get involved with your child's education or want to make a difference in our school, please attend our meetings and find out how you can contribute.

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month (except for Jan, Feb and summer months).  We send emails to remind people of meetings and to help with bake sales.  We need more members to attend meetings and to become officers.  Please consider joining and helping with this worthwhile organization.
